About Us

The Chick and Doc Foundation was created to carry on the legacy of Nancy and Bob Chamberlain by providing funding for Hospice care, Hospice education and respite for families of Hospice patients. Chick and Doc had more than just their bloodline in common: they both committed themselves to helping those in need, lived life with a selfless approach, and went through Hospice themselves.

Nancy Chamberlain (nicknamed Chick) worked in hospice for over 30 years.  She was a registered nurse and, later in life, worked as a home health care coordinator. Even after she retired, Chick served as a hospice volunteer. Her tireless efforts over three decades helped comfort individuals and families through their Hospice care. In addition to the endless hours of community service, Chick's main calling in life was her family.  She always placed her husband, children and grandchildren's needs above her own,  teaching them the true meaning of unconditional love.

Bob Chamberlain was a cardiologist for over 35 years.  His warm bedside manner provided comfort to the countless patients he treated through the years.   In addition to being a wonderful doctor, Bob was the leader of the  Chamberlain clan.  He was a kind, supportive, loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather.  The whole family always knew you could count on Bob.
